My blog will be a mix of personal, politics, society and humor.
fun fact: in germany if you’re a neo nazi or own nazi regalia they arrest the absolute fuck out of you
fun fact: guess what we should do in america
fun fact: 1st Amendment, also now I know who to avoid because they think that shit. i don’t think it’s okay to put people in jail for saying something, but i sure do appreciate when they’re open about their hatred because then I know what a piece of shit they are
Agree with audiodrops. I don’t speak for America, but Britain, however.. Guess who arrested people who held ideologies they didn’t agree with? You cannot criticize the Nazis whilst calling for the very thing they are infamous for.
Nazism disgusts me as much as the next normal person, but I and others want to live in a society where even the dicks have freedom, Equality and freedom doesn’t count for certain people in society, it is for everyone, even the dicks.
If things that represent Nazism should be banned, then shouldn’t things that are covered in the hammer and sickle? Millions of people were killed or starved under that very symbol. How would many people feel about this?
There was someone I couldn’t get out of my head and I was so scared to contact them because I thought they had forgot about me.
I suggest everybody takes the dive because you don’t know what you’re missing out on. It could end bad, but it could end good too.
Basically what I was trying to say in the tags of the last post was that Christianity in American culture is terrifying.
I made reference to the fact that people have made Fall Out Boy edits saying “Happy Easter.” I said that those made me uncomfortable due to the fact that those edits involve Joe Trohman, a Jewish member of the band.
I don’t know what Joe does in his own time, I don’t know what he believes. And frankly, I don’t care. The problem is that the people who make these edits force participation in a Christian holiday on someone who is known to not be Christian.
This makes a statement, and that statement is: "I don’t care what you believe because I am going to force you to participate in what I believe.” This is how Christianity has operated since its conception, but particularly in mainstream American culture. It is aggressive and for someone who is not Christian, rather terrifying. Tumblr users constantly make posts with thousands of notes about micro-aggressions against blacks, gays, transgender people, etc (i.e. minority groups that it is popular and fashionable to support in the Tumblr community). This is the same phenomenon but people - the same people who complain when it is done against the aforementioned groups - do it blindly anyway.
The fact that American culture attempts to force universal celebration of Christian holidays terrifies and disgusts me. I may specifically, as a Jew, be writing this post from the point of view that this is an anti-Semitic phenomenon but it is equally aggressive to Muslims, Atheists, and those of all other religions who live in the United States, a country that boasts of its supposed religious freedom and its theoretical separation of church and state.
lol I hate the Tumblr Judaism tag.
And with this I’m going to do a moment of silence for the religious minorities in the world who currently live in fear of death, kidnap, rape or forced conversion. This doesn’t include any American (OP definitely included) who insults every single one of these people.
OMG THEY PUT HAPPY EASTER ON A FALL OUT BOY CARD. Meanwhile, Christians from a Syrian village returned to their home on Easter to find their homes gone and religious sites destroyed. Atheists in Saudi Arabia have been declared as terrorists.
I don’t respect what you have to say, and I am in fact insulted.
